In Dakar, Senegal, with the construction of a futuristic tower by a wealthy entrepreneur Monsieur Ndaiye, Ada, 17, is in love with a young construction worker, Souleiman, but she is betrothed to another, Omar. One night, Souleiman and the other young construction workers flee Dakar by sea in hopes for a brighter future, unbeknownst to Ada. Several days later, Ada’s wedding is ruined by a mysterious fire, and the young women in the city are overcome by a strange phenomenon nightly. However, Souleiman returns, but in a form that is unexpected by Ada and the other young girls of the city.
