Shutter Island follows U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels as he investigates the disappearance of a patient from Ashecliffe Hospital, a remote psychiatric facility located on Shutter Island. As Teddy digs deeper, he uncovers disturbing secrets about the hospital and its staff, leading him to question his own sanity. The film explores themes of guilt, trauma, and identity, culminating in a shocking twist that questions what is real and what is illusion.
